Invisible Ink

Got a secret spell or private information in your grimoire that you'd like to safeguard? Try using invisible ink!

Use vinegar, lemon or onion juice and a quill to write your private message. Once it dries, you will be able to read it by holding the page up to a light source, such as a candle.

Rose Ink

1 oz. bottle of red, blue or black ink
small decorative bottle
small glass funnel
20 drops unscented vodka
4 drops rose essential oil

Pour the ink into the decorative bottle, using the glass funnel. Mix the vodka and essential oil together in a glass measuring cup. Slowly add this mixture to the ink. Screw the top on tightly and gently shake.

Rose ink comes in handy for love magic!

Deflecting Jar

If you break a mirror, collect all the pieces and put them in a glass jar. Sit the jar on you window sill - the shards deflect the bad luck away from the house.

Herbal Witches Cleansing Bottle

To make an herbal cleansing bottle, pour a layer of sand in a large clear bottle.
Add layers of dried herbs, one at a time: first rosemary; then lemon peel, sage, cedar, black peppercorns, lavender, dill, bay leaf, and rowan.

When the bottle is full, focus cleansing protective energy into the herbs and sand, and see a golden light radiating from the bottle. Visualize the herbs driving away negative influences. Cork and seal the bottle with white wax.

Using a permanent marker, draw the Algiz rune on one side of the bottle, and on the other side draw a pentagram. Set the bottle near your front or back door, and every six months, uncap. Pour herbs out into the woods or your compost heap, and thoroughly wash and dry the bottle before filling it with a new round of herbs.
